ABOUT
Come on, come and meet the band. We'll keep it easy and only use first names, three of us, as well as sharing great mops of hair bizarrely have the same middle name. So here we are; Andy (Drums), Rodin (Bass), Pete (Rhythm guitar) and Sped (Lead guitar) have been mates since primary school. We have grown up together and grown into a band together. And with this comes a sense of kinship and closeness that translates into an amazingly tight and committed live performance you really have to see to believe.

Well that's only four accounted for, so how did four become five? The final part of the puzzle was dropped in rather than placed: "We were having a practice, just the four of us, then Duncan just turned up at the door. It was the night after wed all been to a gig and I was like, did I invite Duncan to practice?" Says Andy. Duncan butts in "That was my audition man, and you couldn't even remember arranging it! Forced into singing because Andy's a better drummer than me, the band gelled. We were just jamming away and within 10 minutes we wrote our first song." Finding this immediate creativity with Duncan as the singer and as a natural front man, see us live now and just imagine having this guy stuck behind the kit? We were a fully functioning band.

Our first release was a on Filthy Little Angels (home of early Long Blondes) Xmas digital only compilation. And, embracing the digital age, Rodin, the main writer of the music, enthuses about his use of technology in the songwriting process, "I arrange a load of ideas on the computer then play them to the band at rehearsals, we then play over the arrangements and the songs take shape really quickly." As avid collectors of 7 Vinyl we easily slipped into the idea of a vinyl only physical release through Manchester based Science Fiction Theatre and London based Pop With Prevail records in August this year.

Our debut single A Long Process picked up early support from MTV2 and we have recently been added to Pepe Jeans international site (www.pepejeans.com/freshair) with our enthusiastic support as well as winning some XFM play and the unsigned band of the week title. Small steps on what is destined to be a rather interesting journey.

Summer came and school finished. Exams were sat and passed. A sense of what to come was sniffed upon the Cheshire air. JD was cracked open, strip joints were visited, champagne sipping sessions with Keith Allen were incongruously taken and gigs across the country were done. With major labels already eyeing-up the five-piece its only a matter of time before The Headlines start making them.
